How is the value of my home determined?
When your agent is trying to determine the value of your home there are several factors that come into play to figure this out. The first thing your agent will do is find houses that are very comparable to yours. It will need to be in the immediate area, have similar square footage, bedrooms, yard size etc. Another huge factor is has your home been updated? Is your home on the higher end of homes in your area or lower end? To get top dollar for your home you will want a gorgeous updated kitchen with new appliances, new carpet and paint, and updated bathrooms are a huge bonus as well. If you have questions on what is best for your home... do research, see what other homes in your area are like and you can always ask your agent for advice.
